M.S. 324 NYC Department of Education Track and Field Champions

posted Jun 5, 2015, 7:31 AM by Rafael Leclerc   [ updated Jun 5, 2015, 7:32 AM ]

We are pleased to announce that M.S. 324's athletes are the NYC Department of Education Track and Field Champions. They amassed 71 points this year, compared to the 43 that last year's 3rd place team scored. This year's team and their coaching staff set the goal at the beginning of the year to win the Championship. There were over 120 Middle and Elementary schools in attendance at this year's meet.

The City Championship usually goes to one of the large schools in Brooklyn and Queens, this is the first time in the almost 10 years a small school wins the trophy. We would like to thank Ms. Heller and all the teachers for their tremendous support, it certainly could not have been done without it. We had 5 athletes that were the best in the city, and several others that scored points in this year's meet.

Track Coaches,
Mr. Borener, Mr. Fofanah, Ms. Myrthil, Ms. Jimenez

City Champions:
Kaitlyn (200 Meter)
Ender  (Shot Put)
Krystal (400 Meter)
Guillermo (Long Jump)
Kadijah (Long Jump)
Girls 4x100 Relay (Kaitlyn, Krystal, Kadijah, and Savely)
